Google Datastore, AppEngine and go mixup

Searching for golang packages that help you work with Google Cloud Datastore almost always led me to the package that depends on AppEngine. After a bunch of head scratching and getting stuck into weird corners, I tried to go beyond first few search results and turns out there are two very similar packages made by Google that work with Datastore but one requires AppEngine and the other doesn’t. It's not gonna tell you a story, it's just gonna keep you company

Heard this phrase on the excellent Radiolab podcast in their Man vs Machine episode and it immediately resonated with me. A large majority of music I listen to falls in this category. On a busy work day when I need to focus on some task without being distracted and also to stay motivated and energetic and on a “high tempo”, some Paul Kalkbrenner is perfect. Or, if I want to even skip coffee too, put on some Shpongle and it instantly transports me into a different “place”. Read more

Podcasts & fun with go

Got started with Go recently for a work project. It took a while to get used to the funky syntax and tabs for indentation instead of spaces. But, after a couple of weeks I can see totally a bunch of reasons why some people really love this relatively new language even if I am not yet ready to abandon my beloved python.
